I would like to give the Pastor of this predominantly black church in  Virginia    a hug and a high five. This guy is obviously a leader.  Perhaps we should each decide who our real leader is..... It is amazing to see that very little has changed in 4,000 years.

Genesis 47:13-27

 ---------------------------------------------------
Good morning, brothers and sisters; it's always a delight to see the pews crowded on Sunday morning, and so eager to get into God's Word.  Turn with me in your Bibles, if you will to the 47th chapter of Genesis, we'll begin our reading at verse 13, and go through verse 27.

Brother Ray, would you stand and read that great passage for us? .....(reading)...

Thank you for that fine reading, Brother Ray.  So we see that economic hard times fell upon  Egypt , and the people turned to the government of Pharaoh to deal with this for them.  And Pharaoh nationalized the grain harvest, and placed the grain in great
storehouses that he had built.  So the people brought their money to Pharaoh, like a great tax increase, and gave it all to him willingly in return for grain.  And this went on until their money ran out, and they were hungry again.

So when they went to Pharaoh after that, they brought their livestock - their cattle, their horses, their sheep, and their donkey - to barter for grain, and verse 17 says that only took them through the end of that year.

But the famine wasn't over, was it?  So the next year, the people came before Pharaoh and admitted they had nothing left, except their land and their own lives. "There is nothing left in the sight of my lord but our bodies and our land.  Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land?  Buy us and our land for food, and we with our land will be servants to Pharaoh."  So they surrendered their homes, their land, and their real estate to Pharaoh's government, and then sold themselves into slavery to him, in return for grain.

What can we learn from this, brothers and sisters?

That turning to the government instead of to God to be our provider in hard times only leads to slavery?  Yes.. That's the only reason government wants to be our provider is to also become our master?  Yes.

But look how that passage ends, brothers and sisters!  Thus  Israel settled in the  land of  Egypt , in the  land of  Goshen .  And they gained possessions in it, and were fruitful and multiplied greatly."  God provided for His people, just as He always has!  They didn't end up giving all their possessions to government, no, it says they gained possessions!  But I also tell you a great truth today, and an ominous one.

We see the same thing happening today - the government today wants to "share the wealth" once again, to take it from us and redistribute it back to us.  It wants to take control of healthcare, just as it has taken control of education, and ration it back to us, and when government rations it, then government decides who gets it, and how much, and what kind.  And if we go along with it, and do it willingly, then we will wind up no differently than the people of Egypt did four thousand years ago - as slaves to the government, and as slaves to our leaders.

What Mr. Obama's government is doing now is no different from what Pharaoh's government did then, and it will end the same.  And a lot of people like to call Mr. Obama a "Messiah," don't they?  Is he a Messiah?  A savior?  Didn't the Egyptians say, after Pharaoh made them his slaves, "You have saved our lives; may it please my lord, we will be servants to Pharaoh"?Well, I tell you this - I know the Messiah; the Messiah is a friend of mine; and Mr. OBAMA IS NO MESSIAH!  No, brothers and sisters, if Mr. Obama is a character from the Bible, then he is Pharaoh. Bow with me in prayer, if you will...

Lord, You alone are worthy to be served, and we rely on You, and You alone.  We confess that the government is not our deliverer, and never rightly will be. We read in the eighth chapter of 1 Samuel, when Samuel warned the people of what a ruler would do, where it says "And in that day you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the LORD will not answer you in that day.."

And Lord, we acknowledge that day has come. We cry out to you because of the ruler that we have chosen for ourselves as a nation. Lord, we pray for this nation.  We
pray for revival, and we pray for deliverance from those who would be our masters.  Give us hearts to seek You and hands to serve You, and protect Your people from the atrocities of Pharaoh's government. End of Forwarded Message

I didn't  write this, however, it was sent to me by email and it sounds like what I am trying to to say better than I can.

Training Pigs

02 May 2012 06:59:00

This was sent to me as an email. I thought that it was fitting as to the way our government in it's cancerous way has taken over all aspects of our life. you decide...........

CATCHING PIGS
THIS IS THOUGHT PROVOKING.
There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had some
exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab,
the professor noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept
rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt. The professor asked
the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet
lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his
native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and
install a new communist regime.
In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a
strange question. He asked: "Do you know how to catch wild pigs?"
The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line.
The young man said that it was no joke. "You catch wild pigs by finding
a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs
find it and begin to come every day to eat the free corn.
"When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side
of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the
fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of
the fence.
"They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you
have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side.
"The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the
gate to eat that free corn again. You then slam the gate on them and
catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom.
They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon
they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they
have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept
their captivity."
The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees
happening in America. The government keeps pushing us toward
Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of
programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income,
tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to
plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc. while we continually
lose our freedoms, just a little at a time.
One should always remember two truths: There is no such thing as a free
lunch, and you can never hire someone to provide a service for you
cheaper than you can do it yourself.
If you see that all of this wonderful government "help" is a problem
confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to send
this on to your friends. If you think the free ride is essential to your
way of life, then you will probably delete this email. But, God help us all
when the gate slams shut!

are now outnumbered by those who vote for a living." -- Anonymous

Can You Believe That Congress Approved This law

19 April 2012 10:52:00

If You Believe That Our Stupid  Ass Congress Has Approved This law Then you Can Kiss Your Ass Good Bye Unless You Vote In some Sanity At The Next Election . My Suggestion Is "Try To Vote For Some One That Has Heard Of The Constitution But Not Necessarily Read It."

Please Click on Link you won't believe what you are seeing

REMEMBER, A LITTLE AT A TIMESTHIS IS BIG
This is a new law signed by Obama in early March 2012 which makes it illegal to protest in his presence.  Regardless of where you stand politically, this is very scary.  Please at least watch this before you delete it.

The law means that wherever Obama is you do not have a right to ask him anything you want to. His secret service can have you arrested, fined, and imprisoned for more than a YEAR if you ask him something he doesn't like or doesn't want to answer.  This sounds as if he's becoming more like Hitler than Lincoln.  THIS IS HIS LATEST ATTEMPT TO STAGE A TAKE OVER OF AMERICA.

May the Lord have mercy on us!!!!

Perfect Example Of "We The People" eating our own ass

16 April 2012 14:52:00

At my age I'm beginning to lose a lot of my friends, however, I have one friend  that I'm reminded of several times each day; let's call him Reid. He was the one who  gave me the quote that should be made famous and important for all of us to understand. The quote was," we are the stupidest generation of all times. Every time we get hungry, we eat piece of our own ass and think we've had a good meal." I'm reminded of this several times each day and how this describes “we the people”.
I like it when people say I got a grant and they have no earthly idea as to who will pay it back and that they have just eaten another piece of their own ass.  The following picture  depicts what I am trying to say much better.
