Решила делать черно-белые снимки. В этих фотографиях исчезает, останавливается время. Зачем не знаю, но очень нравится. Ничего сложного - просто жизнь.

Has decided to do black-and-white pictures. In these photos disappears, time stops. What for? I do not know, but very much it is pleasant. Anything difficult - simply life.

                                               Простой натюрморт.  Simple still-life.

Завтрак.  Breakfast.

Еще один завтрак.  One more breakfast.

Hidden beauty, changes, fear and being brave.....

Hidden beauty, changes, fear and bei

80 x 117 cm

....I found some 'alone' time last night in my Studio, how it felt I don't have to explain, those who know how fullfilling and enjoyable being alone can be, can relate. SO, I created another collage, or better I recycled one from last year. A big one. It got the title 'hidden beauty'. What do I mean with hidden beauty? It's kind of hard to put it into words, it's kind of something you can pretty much only sense, feel, experience. Maybe you made that experience already and know what I am talking about or maybe you weren't really aware of it, just a feeling that your heart and soul can sense, a comfort being around somebody. And that's the hidden beauty I am talking about, something hidden, not-right-away-obvious in a person, that can spark an almost out flame into a wild fire. Well, I got tickled by some hidden beauty, in a time I was in deep numbness (kind of gave up with life or with the challenges I did not know how to deal with) and this, I call it, major earthquake inside of me, broke something apart and opened a way for something new, something full of light, full energy, BEING ALIVE again with all your sense - at first I was shocked and could not handle it at all. Like I mentioned already,  I wasn't easy adapting to chances of life, I was one of those persons who want nothing rea

The Angered Bull --- a poem by Tashi

The Bull furiously flares his nostrils
fiercely rubs his hoof against the ground
as the fervid emotional intensity builds inside him

His blood boils, the heat explodes
and he is off in a fury after his target
full force

determined to flatten his opponent

flaming with rage
no one can stop his violent determination

His anger overtakes him

Vaudeville

Last Update on: 03 February 2012 22:00:00

Thanks to Shy La Buff, I found myself as part of a Vaudeville act at Theater Downtown. The lobby of Theater Downtown felt like a large cluttered living room. There was a pool table in the corner and a small piano in front of a makeshift stage. Theater posters and large photos littered the walls. I didn't see any theatrical sketches. I planted myself in a comfortable leather seat. Actresses arrived one at a time, listening to iPods and swinging their hips.

There was a rehearsal wrapping up on the main stage so, Ruby Darling started blocking out the Circus act of which I was a part. Cory Violence stood in the center of the red carpet and began reciting "Live Circus" by Tom Waits. He had to read the lines off his iPhone at first but soon he was off script.

Every actress in the room was soon recruited to be in the act. Ruby herself became One Eyed Myra, the queen of the galley. Cherry Bob-omb took the role of Horse Face Ethel and her 'Marvellous Pigs In Satin'. She wore a dark beard and moved with a dancers grace. A-manda Lorian had a petite frame draped in an over sized mans outfit. The floppy hat was a size too large and it always kept half her face hidden in shadow. She swayed and staggered like a drunk sailor. She reminded me of a feminine version of Charlie Chaplin. Siber Digit was Yodeling Elaine the Queen of the air. She moved with languid and heavy depression having lassoed and lost another tipsy sailor. Shy La Buff was on target as Poodle Murphy. She held her arms high and arched her back so I could sketch. Chan Sterling as Funeral Wells stood prepared to throw his hardware. He tested the sharpness of the bl

To Business Plan, Or Not To Business Plan? Expert

Last Update on: 03 February 2012 21:50:00

As graduate students, we have repeatedly been told about the importance, the contents and the goal of business plans. Business plans, students have been told, serve three distinct purposes:

1.    A business plan can help to move you to action.  A business plan will help you to pull apart the pieces of starting a business and examine each piece by itself.  2.      A business plan can be an invaluable tool to help keep you on track and moving in the direction you want to go -- a business plan can help to keep you focused.  3.      A business plan can serve as a sales tool.  You will probably need outside financing to start your business, and a business plan is the tool you need to convince investors to come on board.  These are the purposes and views of business plans that students have, but what do the experts think?? In order to answer this question, I chose two of the business industries experts on business plan writing and analyses: Jay Turo and David E. Gumpert.Jay Turo earned a Bachelor's degree with Distinction and with Departmental Honors from Stanford University. In 1999, Jay Turo graduated with his MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. Along with his friend and soon to be business partner, Dave Lavinsky, the two soon founded Growthink, a strategic advisory and investment banking firm, after noticing that people wanted to launch internet ventures, but had no idea as to how to start or finance them. Jay Turo has spent the last 10 years advising and managing business clients. He has worked with all types of companies from new emerging small businesses to multi-million dollar corporations. Turo specializes in private equity investing and entrepreneurship. Turo is also a noted and respected angel investor. His corporate clients have included Deutsche Bank, McKesson, Infospace, Samsung, Porsche, &a

And here are my work in progress photos:

Here’s the beginning, the initial sketch in acrylic, with acrylic glazes of quinacrodone rose, cadmium yellow light, and phthalo blue. I started out with quite a bit of detail on those Laurel Burch kitties gracing the pillow. I wanted them to be accurately whimsical, recognizable as her art.

And now I warm everything up with glazes of yellow and rose, with some blue on Ray’s body in the shadowy places.
