Going back to Brunei!

17 November 2010 02:30:45

On 10th November, I was very excited because I finally can fly back to Brunei with Jon, Kam and Zai! My domestic flight was in the evening which gave me plenty of time to do things during the day. Therefore, I had lunch with Art at Capers. He kept me company for the whole day before my flight and even helped me pack (just some last minute stuff). Thank you Artoo!Lunch at Capers My apricot smoothie Pancakes with grilled banana and bacon + maple syrup Err..sth miners ..On the way to Botanical Garden, we passed by clock tower and St David Lecture Theatre Up and down -- Clock Tower St David Drop by Arto's flatUnicolWe went to Botanical Garden but to my disappointment, the flowers were not that beautiful yet. After that, I wanted to visit either Otago Settler Museum or Chinese Garden. It was an easy decision because the museum was under construction. :):) p/s: My face is in most of the photos *oppsy*Adams Building (Pharmacy school) - Where I had some of my workshops as well as most of the labs including dispensingChinese GardenGoing back to my flat All of my 3 flights were very pleasant.1 - From Dunny to Welly (We just stopped at Welly for 10 mins)2 - From Welly to Auckland (We stayed in Auckland airport for about 5 hours)3 - From Auckland to Brunei (Yaaay!!)During my journey to Auckland, I sat between an Indian and a White guy. It was very entertaining because we had interesting conversation including astrology. While serving the travelers, a flight attendant spoke to the indian guy as if they have known each other for ages as the lady told this guy about her daughter. After their conversation ended, the stewardess told the guy she would talk to him on the land. The indian guy just told me he doesn't even know her. HAHAWhen I reached Auckland, I saw Arthur and Vee! They came just to keep me company for a while and had supper at McD. Thank you for coming! Jon and I ordered this family pack value meal Interior of Boeing 777The new RBA plane boeing-777 is big, comfy and stylish in terms of the nice colour of the seats. Unlucky enough, while I was sleeping, my fifth toe knocked into something and I had to try to get it out because it got stuck. It was quite painful and had difficulty walking on the day because I wore ballet flats.  I know it is GROSS!I knocked this toe 5 times altogether at home >,<The first thing I told my mom was I wanted to get jandals because I could not walk properly. Yes! I found a cheap one then went to eat at one of the restaurants at Batu Bersurat - Golden Leaf. So far I have been out of the house ever since I came back and have eaten most of the food I crave for.-The End-

15 November 2010 06:57:04

This post is about the day before I left NZ for Brunei this year. I felt that time flies really fast. The good news is I am officially done with Pharmacy School ! Let me clarify one thing. I am still NOT a pharmacist yet but a pharmacy graduate. In order to be a pharmacist officially, you need to do internship for 44 or 48 weeks and pass the big exam! Working is something I am definitely not looking forward to >,<3 events in one day is the title of this entry.1 - Lunch with the Miangs2 - Went over to see Adi's fluffy and sparkly (well, not really an event)3 - Hotpot and firework with Adeline, Joe and Art =)Lunch with the MiangsVenue: Novahttp://www.novacafe.co.nz/Err...I have no idea why the indivudual photos of the miangs turns out like this. Guy Fawkes Night ; Bacchus

06 November 2010 07:30:18

Guy Fawkes Night was here again yesterday. This day arises due to the failure of Gunpowder Plot of 1605 whereby a group of provincial English Catholics failed to assassinate the Protestant King James I of England and VI of Scotland. This day marked the survival of the king on 5 November 1605, after a guy known as Guy Fawkes who was left in charge of the gunpowder was arrested. The weather was quite windy, chilly and rained at times. Nevertheless, we still played with fireworks at night. I want to thank to two organisers - Art and Weyta as well as Kelvin for risking himself lighting the fireworks as anything can happen to him due to the crappy weather. Before going to aquatic centre for the firework display, Art brought me to Bacchus for dessert. I ordered Rhubarb Creme Brulee (Yes, I love Creme Brulee). I thought Art would order brownies but in the end, he ordered Chocolate mousse cake because I made him ate brownies that I baked for 2 days in a row. He must have been so sick of it. HAHAHA! Death by Chocolate Mousse Cake with Rasberry Coulis Rhubarb Creme Brulee Mr and Mrs Huang - LIGHT BULB - Mr and Mrs Lai-The End-

Luna restaurant ; packing ; at weyta's

30 October 2010 07:06:36

My final examination is finally over! On the night itself, it was Pharmacy Graduation Dinner even though we were not officially graduated yet. I would just call it Advance Pharmacy Graduation Dinner. =) (Will post this at a later date)This entry is dedicated to Art who took me to Luna for dinner yesterday and helped me with my packing from 2pm till 12am today. Seriously, I am sooooo HOPELESS in packing -_-" I  am really grateful to him. THANKS!! If it was not because of him, I would have just procrastinated again and again. It is not that packing is done but it is almost there. XIE XIE NI!Luna's food is just average but the nice view and good customer service compensate for this. Art couldn't make up his mind!  We arrived at around 7.45pm (still bright outside) His eyes narrowed when he smiles (looks like a squirrel) My grilled rib eye of beef Rib eye meatballs with spaghetti Art ordered this because he was told that this hand cut chips is a must-to-try. (He should have just tried mine) I requested for it to be cooked medium Was told that the puddings is very yummy so we ordered hot soft chocolate pudding with vanilla ice cream and vanilla creme brulee. After that, we went to Weyta's place to hang out. I have to admit that he (Art) is a super gentleman. He walked me to weyta's place (well he stayed near to weyta) then after that he walked me home which is like at the opposite end just to make sure that I arrived home safe and sound. The funny thing is that he said if I go to club, he will walk me home if no one does. HAHAHA Thank you =) He even stayed up till 5am to make sure the others (who went to club) were alright.Next, I will show you guys something which I cherish a lot.I was quite sad and down when my huge teddy needs to be packed. I really cant BEAR to let him be packed  I actually shed tears ! T.TI will see you soon!-The End-

VAIN FLATMATE

24 October 2010 17:01:42

Arghhhhh!!! I am still so sleepy despite going to bed early yesterday. In order to counteract my feeling of sleepiness, I attempted facebook quizzes and had breakfast to keep my energy level up but these are of no use because I am still so sleepy! Every time I tried to read a sentence or just by looking at my lecture note, my eyes and brain shut off inevitably. I guess the best solution is to take a nap and continue with my revision later. If only we don't need to sit for exams but don't mind end of module test.Straight to the highlight of my entry. MY FLATMATE must be really bored. It must be either that or he desperately wants a girlfriend! The other explanation is the exposure of his true inner vain self. I really feel sympathy towards my bear.Brought to you by the skilful chef aka Mr. Kok from my flat For dessert, he made Lamingtons Okay, this is just something really funny or it might be just me. Look at the broccoli especially its small size. My flatmate was not very alerted when he did his grocery shopping yesterday. When he paid, he just realised that it is NZ4.50 for such a small head but he was very PAISEH to put it back. HAHA. I guess you better savour it to your fullest. -The End-

Art's superb culinary skill during my exam fever

21 October 2010 03:05:47

Hey my loyal readers! Exam fever is here again! HOPEFULLY this is my last time sitting for university exam. *Fingers crossed* Amazingly, I haven't felt any stress yet (Okay, I rarely get stressed out unless it is a very major situation for me). My first paper was Law (2 days ago) which I spent freaking 17 hrs  doing my cheat sheet. Oh well, that is okay because doing that doesn't kill your brain cells that much. However, during my law paper, I did not use my "cheat sheet" that much. =( *I should have studied QUM*QUM (Quality Use of Medicine) is my NIGHTMARE! Tomorrow, it is QUMB (Long essay questions) and I am blogging. Great! (I haven't finished studying and I don't think I can finish anyway). I just put everything into the hands of God and pray hard. Of course, I studied but in a very relaxing manner as I can't focus too much. Always on facebook, net and other kind of distraction (I need them). Even after my law exam (2 hours) which I used my whole concentration in it, I got headache and pain in the eyes till night time which I can't study properly although I tried. >.< I captured some photos for this blog! let them do the talking!

My messy table
Okay readers, I can't stand messy things and I got so fed up and eyesore so instead of continuing studying, I just cleaned and tidied up my room especially my table.
As I have said, I can't focus so in between revision, I will watch anime or do something else.
Jon's Ondeh Ondeh! Thank you!
Close up
LAW!!!
Wishing my flatmate good luck for his test
Art cooked (on the day after my law exam) for me because he knows that during exam times, I am very lazy to cook. Thank you so much! To be honest, his culinary skill is excellent! I really love the food! (I think I have compulsive eating disorder ;P) i feeel so FAAAT!!
In the process of making this baked bread with bacon, cheese and mayonnaise

Steak with veges
Egg and Ham salad
This afternoon, the weather had "mood swing". At one moment, it hailed so loudly, then after a while, it turned sunny again. After about half an hour, it rained!

Studying QUM! Arghhhhhp/s: For Qum, I studied with Aerosmith's songs-The end-

Show some respect

14 October 2010 18:00:38

This post is my study break after reading the same note for so long.I would like to raise the awareness that some doctors including some to-be-doctor seem to have the perception that pharmacist is nothing. I personally know someone who thinks this way that is why I am so pissed but I just need to keep quiet and write it here. Who do you think you are, great doctor?Doctors always think they are so great almighty and their profession is the best, the highest. 你少瞧不起人了。For me, every profession has its own difficulties. For those medical students who think pharmacy is an easy, extra course and not necessary, you should try study this. I bet you won't even want to touch it! Before you say anything or put us down, look yourself at the mirror first. I would like to see you yourself act as both doctor and pharmacist in the future and see how you cope with it.In the world of healthcare, it is only doctors who get recognised. How about other health professionals - physio, nurse, speech therapist etc. In my opinion, it is fine with me that pharmacists don't get acknowledged for correcting those prescriptions and going through all the troubles to make sure everything is correct before handing out the medicines to patients. At least, doctors/medical students, please respect pharmacist and not thinking that all what they do are reading selecting drugs from the shelves and hand it out to patients based on what are written on the script. If you think pharmacy is an easy job, why not you do it yourself. And why would we spend our times studying this if it is that easy. You guys should broaden your mind and let go of that "I am the greatest" mind. Some doctors ask pharmacist what is the dose and drugs best for the patients, and we never say anything like "OMG, they don't know their stuff" but we respect them because one cannot possibly know every single thing. This is why every different profession is there for a reason.I respect all profession and even cleaner. What is wrong with that? Without them, this society will be full of garbages and dirty sight all around. Imagine the air you breathe if there is no cleaner. Not only health professionals work hand-in-hand, but also with other professionals.Walao eh, 越想越气!I will continue this some other time. Time to go back to jail (study)p/s: This is just my own personal opinion and nothing personal

Group A lunch

13 October 2010 05:45:56

Reading the same sentence for the past one hour means one thing. I have no motivation at all! Today is the last day of Group A class and am really happy about it. At the same time, I start to miss my group who I really appreciate and have enjoyed every moments with them but this is NOT OVER yet! I will still see them at exam hall! I wish I can fast forward the time to holidays so I don't need to study which is such a pain! This is just the life of a student. I feel that student life is the best that one can have compared to working life. You will see me saying this again next time. Instead of fast forward, I should wish for reversing time back to high school or become a child when you just lead a carefree life with nothing to worry about. All you do is sit there and being pampered by your parents - not for me though =)Back to the intention of this post. As I have mentioned that today is the last day of pharmacy class, Arthur organised a group A lunch at Chopstick. Thank you for organising, Mr.LIU! You know we love you. *winky winky* After that Jason and I took photos at hunter centre where we always have our workshops. I really like having classes there because of the study environment.
