Wordless Wednesday

This was by far the best day of my life.  This guy right here takes such good care of me and loves me completely.  Please excuse my "lack" of words today, but the flu has me tired... And just so you know, this guy took really good care of his wifey poo the past couple of days. Thank you to my sweetheart for being amazing and caring.  I love this guy more than words can say... which is why today is Wordless Wednesday! 

Thank you for reading my work and looking at my ideas! I hope to have you follow along on this romantic journey.

MY REVIEW OF THE HUNGER GAMES...BOOK ONE

"The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins has exploded, not only in print but also, onto the big screen. Everyone in my town, and I'm sure everywhere on Earth, are talking about this series from this very talented writer.

When I discovered children were reading this book, even while in school, my curiosity rose then my anger. How could someone write something with this storyline of kids killing kids call themselves a Young Adult author? How could the parents of these young teens allow their children to read such things? I had to find out. So I ordered the trilogy box set and eagerly awaited its arrival.

While waiting for the arrival of my purchase, young teens were waiting for the premiere of the movie to the first book. Kids plotting out their night at the midnight showing, instead of attending school the next day. I honestly couldn't believe what all I read on Facebook. These kids had already read all three books and, still, they couldn't wait to see the movie.

I have to admit, my children are not exactly children. My daughter is 22 and my son is on the verge of turning 19...April 2nd. My daughter is waiting for me to finish reading the books so she can have her turn. My son doesn't have "time" to read right now in his life, but chose to see the movie instead. I asked him what he thought. Did he think younger children should be watching this movie? What did he get out of the story? And I have to say his answers shocked me. He actually got it! But first I'm getting ahead of myself. Here's my review of "The Hunger Games" Book One:

As I began to read chapter one: "Part I: The Tributes", I was relieved to find the book was easy to understand and flowed quite nicely. Before I realized it, hours had passed and I was totally engulfed in the first section of this book. Collins' description of Katniss's life in the Seam almost had me right there. I felt I was walking along with the young girl through her daily routine and anticipating The Reaping right along with her (even though it was obvious I knew what was going to happen for the most part after seeing the movie trailers and reading highlights from various websites). This was a great book. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. From the characters, to the chemistry, to the action this book had it all. Kara is a very talented woman with a lot of sass and a huge heart. Baron is tall, dark, and extremely handsome. He is intelligent and caring. The chemistry between these two is smoking hot and once they get together, the smexin burns up the sheets.

The plot flowed well and seemed very complete. While there wasn’t one major problem in the book, it still had enough to keep you interested the whole way through. I enjoyed the excitement and suspense. One great thing was we got to see a glimpse of past and future characters and see what is happening in their lives. The family dynamics are pretty intense in this series and we got a fe
